Burak Yılmaz scored twice against Kazakhstan to take his international goal tally for Turkey up to 15.

Yılmaz opened the scoring against Kazakhstan from the penalty spot on 26 minutes.

The 29-year-old striker scored a brace just three minutes later, Kazakhstan goalkeeper Mokin made a hash of Yılmaz’s driving effort from just outside the penalty area.

Yılmaz has five years remaining on his contract which runs out in June 2019.

The Turkish international joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor for €5 million in 2012.

Yılmaz finished his first season as the leagues leading goalscorer for the second year in a row with 24 goals in 30 appearances.

The 29-year-old striker scored eight goals in nine Champions League appearances in the 2012-13 season, playing a crucial role in guiding Galatasaray to the quarter-finals.

The prolific striker scored 16 goals and made eight assists in 32 Super League appearances over the course of the last campaign.

Yılmaz already has 10 goals and one assist in 19 games in all competitions this season.
