Bursaspor prepare bid for Porto midfielder Josue [divider]
Bursaspor are preparing a bid for Porto midfielder Josue Pesqueira according to club president Recep Bölükbaşı.
Josue is currently on loan at Bursaspor but the Green Crocodiles want to make his stay permanent.
“We really like Josue,” Bölükbaşı said.
“We wanted to sign him on a permanent deal at the start of the season but couldn’t agree with Porto.
“We also tried to loan him with a buyout clause but that didn’t work either.
“It is still early days but we want to try again and complete the transfer of Joseu in January.”
Josue rose through the Porto youth ranks before joining Paços Ferreira in 2011 and then returning to the Portuguese giants in 2013 on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has established himself as a first team player at Bursaspor.
Josue has one goal and an assist in Bursaspor’s last two games.
Bursaspor are currently 5th in the Süper Lig and coached by Şenol Güneş who guided Turkey to third place in the 2002 World Cup.
