Calhanoglu reveals Man Utd & Barcelona could tempt him

Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu has attracted interest from across Europe after an impressive few seasons most notably from Manchester United and Barcelona.

Çalhanoğlu took part in a televised interview live on Turkish state television channel TRT Spor where he was asked about the interest being shown from Barcelona and United.

The Turkish international star did not comment on the speculation but stated that he would do what was in his clubs best interests.

Çalhanoğlu told TRT Spor: “I am always looking to the future and who would not want to play at the biggest clubs but I do not get involved in transfer that is up to the club I will do what is in my clubs best interests.”

The 21-year-old provided an assist in Bayer’s 1-1 draw against BATE in the Champions League mid-week.

Çalhanoğlu now has three goals and four assists in the Champions League this season and is rated as one of the best set-piece takers in world football.

The Turkish international star still has another four years remaining on his contract and has a €40 million release clause fee.
