Bursaspor forward Cedric Bakambu has revealed that Gokhan Töre has been the most impressive Süper Lig player he has seen this season.

“Gökhan Töre is a really good player, I did not know about him before joining Bursaspor but I have to admit he really is a top player,” Bakambu told Turkish Football Federation magazine Tam Saha.

Bakambu also underlined that he is a fan of Galatasaray striker Burak Yılmaz and Beşiktaş forward Demba Ba who he knew from his time in France.

“Burak Yılmaz is also a player I am fond of as is Demba Ba who I already knew from France,” he added.

Bakambu admits that the quality of the league and the level of individual talent in the Süper Lig is higher than he had expected when he joined the Green Crocodiles in the summer.

“I was surprised by the quality of the league to be honest, there is a lot of talent here,” he added.

The French U21 striker joined Bursaspor on a £1.6 million move from Ligue 1 outfit Sochaux in the summer.

Bakambu had 21 goals in 107 appearances for Sochaux.

The 23-year-old has 15 goals and three assists in all competitions this season for the Green Crocodiles.
