Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic could replace Demba Ba with striker Cenk Tosun if the Senegalese international fails to recover from injury in time for the Europa League second-leg clash against Liverpool.

Ba missed the weekend Süper Lig game against Eskişehirspor due to injury. The Black Eagles lost the match 1-0 and dropped into 2nd place in the league following the result.

Tosun has been injured for the last few weeks but team doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık has now given the Turkish international the all clear.

“Tosun has recovered, he has been training with the team for two weeks but we have not played him yet as he was regaining match fitness,” Karanlık told Beşiktaş Tv.

Tosun was born in Germany and represented the German youth national team before switching to the Turkish national team.

The 23-year-old striker joined Beşiktaş from Gaziantepspor this summer on a five year deal.

Tosun has seven goals in 19 appearances for the Black Eagles this season.

Bilic will also have Mustafa Pektemek available, the 26-year-old striker recently recovered from a broken nose and played on the weekend against EsEs.
