Beşiktaş striker Cenk Tosun scored his fourth goal in five games in the memorable 1-0 win against Tottenham in the Europa League Group C.

The Black Eagles finished the group in first place on 14 points.

Tosun replaced the injured Demba Ba who had been in prolific form scoring 16 goals in 18 appearances this season.

The Turkish international has also been in impressive form lately and struck again against Tottenham.

“We knew what we had to do to finish the group in first place and we are just glad we were able to achieve the goal we had set out to complete,” Tosun said.

“I want to thank my teammates, the team performed well as a unit and I am happy to have scored my first goal in European competition.

“Now we have to focus on the league again and get a result against Gaizantepspor.”

Tosun was born in Germany nad represented the German youth national team before switching to the Turkish national team.

The 23-year-old striker joined Beşiktaş from Gaziantepspor this summer on a five year deal.
