However, the 28-year-old posted a tweet on his official twitter today refuting Mundo Deportivo’s claims.

The tweet translates to, “Rumours spread by some media agencies claiming I am celebrating the transfer is incorrect. I’m on vacation and just resting.”

Turan has made it clear that he wants to leave Atletico this summer and confirmed that his agent is in talks with a number of clubs.

The 28-year-old became the first Turkish international to win the La Liga with Atletico Madrid in the 2013-14 season.

The Turkish international has two years remaining on his contract with Atleti and has a release clause worth €41 million. Turan provided six assists and scored three goals in 46 appearances for Atletico Madrid in all competitions last season.
