United meanwhile are preparing a ‘huge transfer bid’ for the Turkish international according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian sports paper report that the Red Devils will activate Turan’s £29.1 million release clause in order to sign the bearded wonder.

PSG are also reported to be interested in Turan but it seems him ultimate goal is to make a Premier League move if his agent is to be believed.

Ahmet Bulut has linked Turan with a Premier League move for the past few seasons but has revealed that he is in talks with three Premier League clubs.

“He intends to leave Spain this summer. It is his will to go out to play in the Premiership, that is where he would like to continue his career at this time,” Bulut told AS.

“His departure from Atletico is not easy because he has a clause of €41m. There are ongoing talks with three teams at the moment. I cannot say their names, but they are the best of England and European football.”

Turan became the first Turkish player to win the La Liga when he lifted the league title with Atletico Madrid in the 2013-14 season.
