Chelsea legend Didier Drogba sent a heartfelt message of condolence to the victims of the recent Istanbul terrorist attack.
Drogba spent two seasons at Galatasaray establishing himself as a cult figure in a short space of time.
The experienced striker took to Instagram to send a shoutout to the people of Turkey after the attack on the Atatürk airpot.
Drogba wrote: “All my prayers to my dear city ISTANBUL. Dont they know my Turkish brothers and my people?? The more united they get! the stronger they become! Its in the soul. I KNOW IT, I saw it.”
The terror attack claimed 41 innocent lives and injured over 200 people. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but Turkish officials were quick to lay blame on Daesh.
Three attackers arrived in a taxi and began firing at the terminal entrance before blowing themselves up after armed resistance from local policemen.
UEFA revealed yesterday that they would not mark the incident with a vigil in the Euro 2016 quarter-final clash tonight which sparked widespread criticism.
