Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho 'deserves respect' says Wesley Sneijder

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho deserves more respect according to Galatasaray’s playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

The 31-year-old has heaped praise on his former manager and stated that he is a good person as well as a good coach.

“He is not only good coach, he’s also a good person. People love it when he fails, But he deserves respect for what has done, especially in your country,” Sneijder told the Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo.

The Netherlands international played under Mourinho while at Inter Milan. Sneijder won the UEFA Champions League and Serie A under the Portuguese manager.

The former Real Madrid man has provided two assists and scored two goals in 14 appearances for Galatasaray this season.

Galatasaray were defeated by Benfica in the Champions League yesterday evening and take on Rizespor in the league on Saturday.

Chelsea are up against Dinamo Kiev tonight in the Champions League and travel to Stoke City this weekend.
