Kasımpaşa defender Kenneth Omeruo revealed that he was proud with the fight his side showed following the 1-0 win over Başakşehir in the mini Istanbul derby.
The Nigerian international uploaded an image on his Instagram account alongside the following caption: “Another important win yesterday.. great fight till finish #kasimpasa.”
Omeruo started his second consecutive game for the Istanbul minnows since joining from Chelea on loan.
The 21-year-old made the highest number of tackles (4) and clearances (6) over the course of the 90 minutes.
Omeruo joined Kasımpaşa from Chelsea on loan and the Paşalar have a future buy-out clause option to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent deal until next summer.
The young defender was part of the Middlesbrough side that earned promotion to the Premier League last season.
Kasımpaşa have won back-to-back games and kept clean sheets in both matches this season.
The Istanbul based side are currently first in the league and take on Ankara based Gençlerbirliği next.
