Chelsea on the verge of signing Galatasaray left back Alex Telles

Chelsea are on the verge of signing Galatasaray’s in-demand fullback Alex Telles according to the Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.

The report states that negotiations are at an advanced stage and that Juventus and Inter are also in the race for the 22-year-old.

The Premier League champions are on the hunt for a new left-back following reports Felipe Luis is set for a return to Atletico Madrid.

The Lion’s recently signed Lionel Carole from Troyes to add depth but he could find himself playing regular first team football should Telles move to England.

Telles joined Galatasaray on a €6 million transfer from Gremio last January. The young Brazilian provided a total of two goals and three assists in 56 games for the Lions last season.

The Brazilian left back has also recently been linked with a €8 million move to PSG by Eurosport.

Telles’ agent Fernando Otto recently underlined that Telles is happy in Turkey and that he still has a lot more to offer the Istanbul giants.

“Otto has established himself as a first team player and wants to prove himself next season,” Otto said.
