Chelsea striker Loic Remy has become the bookmakers favourite to sign for Süper Lig outfit Beşiktaş.
The Black Eagles are joint favourite with West Ham with odds of 2.20 on Skysports and in pole position on Ladbrokes with slightly shorter odds at 2.10.
Club president Fikret Orman travelled to London to hold talks with the Blues over Remy according to Eurosport TR.
The report claims that Besiktas are keen to wrap up the transfer before the end of the week.
Beşiktaş press officer Metin Albayrak sparked further speculation when he stated that the club were on the verge of signing a striker.
“A defender and striker could join us early, it could be any time now our transfer and foreign relations chief Erdal Torunoğulları is currently working on it,” he was quoted as saying by NTV Spor.
Beşiktaş are looking to replace last seasons top scorer for the club Demba Ba who was sold to Shanghai Shenhua for a €13 million fee last month.
The Black Eagles would be able to offer Remy regular first team football and a lucrative salary.
