Chelsea take on Champions League title holders Barcelona in the International Championship Cup at the FedEx Field in Maryland.
Summer signing Arda Turan would have had the chance to face former Atletico Madrid teammates Diego Costa, Thibaut Courtois, Falcao and Luis but but due to the FIFA ban imposed on Barcelona he will not be able to feature.
Turan remains close friends with his former teammates and Costa recently revealed that he misses the bearded winners culinary delights especially his kebabs: “He introduced us all to Turkish food. I really liked his kebabs and when he had food everybody would hover around his house for some.”
Jose Mourinho is fielding a strong side against Barcelona. Courtois starts in goal for Chelsea while Diego Costa returns upfront. Oscar, Willian, Hazard and Fabregas are all in the starting lineup as well.
Barcelona will be playing a number of youth players against the Premier League champions including El Haddadi and Gumbau.
