Chelsea winger will arrive in Turkey ahead of completing Trabzonspor transfer says Suleyman Hurma

during the Barclays Premier League match between Chelsea and Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge on February 9, 2013 in London, England.

Chelsea winger Marko Marin will arrive in Turkey later this evening ahead of joining Trabzonspor confirmed club sporting director Süleyman Hurma.

Hurma told Lig Tv: “He will arrive in Trabzon tonight and undergo a medical tomorrow before completing his transfer.”

As Turkish-football.com reported Marin has been in close talks with Trabzonspor over the past week.

Marin will join the likes of Europa League winner M’bia, Lazio full-back Cavanda and Hull City striker Dame N’Doye should the transfer go ahead as planned.

The 26-year-old winger has struggled for playing time at Chelsea since signing on an €8 million move from Werder Bremen in 2012.

The Germany international’s Chelsea career has stalled but he has enjoyed loan spells at Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht over the last three seasons.

Marin has one goal in 16 international caps for Germany but was last called up for his country in 2010.

Trabzonspor are currently joint first in the Süper Lig after winning both opening games of the season and coached by Shota Arveladze who replaced Ersun Yanal over the summer transfer window.

The Black Sea Storm take on Akhisar next at the Avni Aker stadium.

Marin would become the sixth Chelsea man in the Süper Lig should he complete his move. Raul Meireles, Samuel Eto’o, Gökhan Töre and Ricardo Quaresma all previously played for the Blues while 21-year-old Kenneth Omeruo is on loan from the Premier League outfit at Kasımpaşa.
