Chelsea winger set to return to London

during the Barclays Premier League match between Chelsea and Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge on February 9, 2013 in London, England.

Trabzonspor have confirmed that Marko Marin will return to Chelsea at the end of the season in a statement released on their official website.

The Black Sea Storm will not attempt to extend his loan stay or sign the Germany international on a permanent deal.

Marin fell out with the club board after a training ground spat with fellow teammate Aykut Demir. The on-loan winger stormed off the training ground and made a comment about the team that did not go down very well with the club establishment.

The 26-year-old winger failed to settle in at Trabzonspor scoring twice and providing five assists in all competitions this season. To be fair Trabzonspor underperformed as a team in what turned out to be a nightmare season.

Marin recently revealed that he does not expect to be part of Cheslea’s plans for next season but has not ruled out the possibility of a future in London.

“It’s difficult. You not only need a few good matches at Trabzon, but a very strong year. You never know, but right now it does not look like it,” Marin told Kicker.

Trabzonspor are currently 11th in the league and despite being safe from relegation are unable to book a place in Europe next season.
