Besiktas are not stronger than Club Brugge says Meunier [divider]
Club Brugge full-back Meunier believes that Beşiktaş are not stronger than his side going into the Europa League Last 16.
“I think it’s a fine draw. Personally, I don’t think Beşiktaş is any stronger than we are,” Meunier was quoted as saying on FourFourTwo.
The 28-year-old believes that Club Brugge should be able to beat Beşiktaş because Anderlecht beat Galatasaray in the Champions League.
“Anderlecht showed they were stronger than Galatasaray [by beating them in the Champions League]. We should also be able to beat [Beşiktaş],” he added.

Anderlecht beat Galatasaray 2-0 in Belgium and drew 1-1 in Istanbul in the Champions League group stages earlier this season.
Beşiktaş are however, unbeaten in European competition this season and have never lost against Belgium opposition in Europe.
The Black Eagles booked a place in the Last 16 after knocking Liverpool out of the Round of 32.
The Last 16 first-leg game will be played on Thursday 12 March in Belgium.
Beşiktaş are currently joint first in the Süper Lig on 51 points alongside Galatasaray.
