Liverpool face a tough start to the season with away trips to both Arsenal and Manchester United by mid-September. The Red’s boss is also under pressure to get off to a strong start and his attacking line lacks experience.
Turan could very well be the man to guide Liverpool though their tricky opening set of fixtures which could set them up for a top four finish towards the ends of the season. It also helps that he has never made any secret of his desire to play for the Reds one day.
“I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool,” the Turkey international revealed before leaving Galatasaray for Atletico in 2011.
