Czech Republic maintained their 100 percent win record in Euro 2016 qualification Group A with a 2-1 win over Iceland.

Iceland and the Czech Republic both went into Group A on nine points each at the top of the group.

Czech Republic got off to a terrible start when captain Petr Cech gifted the away side the lead on eighth minutes as he charged from his goal but got nowhere near a long throw in, leaving Ragnar Sigurdsson to convert into an empty net.

The home side were lucky not to concede again in the opening 45 minutes but Kaderabek made Iceland rue their missed chances in the last minute of the first half when he equalised with a powerful header.

Czech Republic came out of the blocks firing in the second half and came close a number of times before Halldorsson scored an own goal to give the home side the lead for the first time in the game.

Iceland remained in second place on nine points following the game, followed closely by Netherlands on six points in third place and Turkey in fourth place on four points.
