Daniel Opare suffers hamstring injury

Daniel Opare has been ruled out of first team football for at least two weeks following an injury sustained during his sides 0-0 draw with Caykur Rizespor in the Turkish Cup.

Besiktas released a statement on their official website confirming Opare’s injury. The Ghana international has sustained a first degree hamstring tear in his left leg.

Opare is expected to be out for two weeks and is a doubt for the Europa League clash against Liverpool.

The Europa League Round of 32 tie with Liverpool will be played over two legs on February 19 and 26, 2015.

Besiktas have played Premier League opposition four times this season. The Black Eagles lost 1-0 to Arsenal over two legs in the Champions League playoffs.

Besiktas signed Opare on a loan deal keeping him at at the club until the end of the season. The Istanbul based club also have an option to sign Opare however, the fee has not been disclosed.
