Galatasaray defender Dany Nounkeu is on the verge of signing for Ligue 1 outfit Evian-TG according to L’equipe.

Nounkeu returned to Turkey following his loan stay at Granada being cut short. The La Liga outfit terminated his contract after only playing the Cameroon international for 45 minutes over the first half of the season.

The Cameroon international is expected to join Evian on a six-month loan later today.

Nounkeu joined Galatasaray in July 2012 for €4 million from Gaziantepspor. The experienced centre-back spent last season on loan at Beşiktaş.

The 28-year-old defender’s contract with Galatasaray ends in June 2016.

The Lions defender has made 46 appearances in all competitions since joining back in 2012.

Nounkeu has 18 international caps for Cameroon but was left out of the African Cup of Nations 2015 squad by manager Volker Fink.

Fellow Galatasaray teammate Aurelian Chedjou is in the team as are Süper Lig players Georges Mandjeck of Erciyesspor and Léonard Kweuke of Rizespor.
