Demba Ba thanks Arsenal midfielder Diaby for donating to charity event

Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba praised his former teammates at Chelsea as well as Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby and the other football stars that took part in his charity fundraiser meal at the Marriott hotel in central London.

Ba shared a picture alongside some of the footballers who attended the event alongside the caption: “Thanks to Human Appeal, to the generous donators, and my special guests and friends @hazardeden_10 @johnterry.26 @setoo9 , diomansy kamara , branislav ivanovic and abou diaby for the raise of 300.000 pounds for the Empire of childrens in dakar, senegal. What an event and an evening. Because of you , all this children will live a better life Insha’Allah

The charity fundraiser held in partnership with Human Appeal raised £300,000 the Empire of the Children campaign.

Human Appeal is a UK based charity with a presence in 25 countries across the world.

The Empire of the Children is a former open air cinema in Senegal that has been renovated and now looks after young boys aged 5 to 16 years of age.

Samuel Eto’o Fils, Abou Diaby, Diomansy Kamara, Colin Nell, Emdaad Rahman  as well as Chelsea stars John Terry, Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovich also attended the event.

 Ba joined Beşiktaş on a €6 million move from Chelsea this summer and already has a total of 27 goals and seven assists for the Istanbul giants.
