Dirk Kuyt admits he misses Liverpool [divider]

Fenerbahçe winger Dirk Kuyt has admitted that he misses his former club Liverpool.

“Of course I miss Liverpool. It is the place I lived the longest with my family – more than six years. We had an amazing time there and I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss it,” Kuyt told the official Liverpool website.

Kuyt scored 71 goals in 285 matches for Liverpool and became a fan favourite during his time in England.

The 34-year-old reached the 2006-07 Champions League final, was runner up in the 2008-09 Premier League title race and won the 2011-12 League Cup with the Reds.

Kuyt international joined Fenerbahçe from Liverpool in 2012 for €1 million and has a lot of experience playing in Turkey.

The former Netherlands has seven goals and four assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.

Kuyt has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup at Fenerbahçe and also helped the Yellow Canaries reach the semi-finals of the 2012-13 Europa League.
