Borussia Dortmund had to come from behind to beat Mainz 4-2 at the Westfalenstadion stadium.

Elkin Soko gave Mainz a first minute lead and the away side went into the half time break with a one goal advantage.

Neven Subotic equalised for Dortmund minutes after the restart and Reus gave the home side the lead soon after.

Turkish midfielder Yunus Malli levelled the score on 56 minutes but the lead was short lived as Aubameyang put Dortmund ahead for the second time.

Nuri Şahin put the game out of sight on 78 minutes with his first goal of the season.

Dortmund moved into 14th place following the victory. The German giants have now won two consecutive games.

Şahin missed most of the season with injury but has started the last four Bundesliga games since recovering.

Dortmund have only lost one of their last four games in which the Turkish international has played.

The 26-year-old has one goal and one assist in six appearances this season.
