Egyptian footballer names his son after Arsenal star Mesut Ozil

The Egyptian footballer Ahmed Nabil Manga has named his son after Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

According to the Metro, Manga, who used to play for Egyptian giants Al-Ahly, has taken his love for Ozil to the next level by actually naming his newly-born son after the Germany international.

Egyptian outlet King Tut confirmed the news on twitter but went onto say that it “won’t be his official name on his birth certificate.”

Ozil has 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Henry’s record record tally of 20.

The 27-year-old’s 100th game for the north London based club ended in a disappointing defeat. Arsenal have now slipped down to third place and are just two points ahead of their bitter rivals Tottenham.

Arsenal take on Burnley in the FA Cup this weekend and Southampton in the Premier League next week.
