Emre Belözoğlu returns to first team training

Emre Belözoğlu has returned to first team training with Fenerbahce.

The experienced midfielder had been carrying a thigh injury in recent weeks and was given a rest period during the the international break.

Emre participated in training with the rest of the squad at the Can Bartu training facility.

Bruno Alves, Moussa Sow, Emmanuel Emenike and Kadlec all missed training as they played International games this week.

Webo, Mehmet Topal, Mehmet Topuz, Serdar Kesimal and Mert Gunok participated in light training today.

Manager Ismail Kartal had a meeting with Volkan Demirel. The 53-year-old manager urged Volkan to put last week behind him and to concentrate on the league.

Fenerbahce currently sit at the top of the table with 19 points from nine games.

Kartal’s side are level on points with rivals Galatasaray but have a better goal difference.

The Istanbul giants face Bursaspor on Monday at the Bursa Atatürk Stadium at 18:00 (GMT).
