Emre Can absent for Liverpool's defeat to Newcastle

Liverpool succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle in the Premier League yesterday.

Emre Can missed the game as he was serving a suspension. The 21-year-old received a yellow card during Liverpool’s win over Southampton in the League Cup. Can will be available for Liverpool’s Europa League clash next week and their next Premier League game.

Liverpool have dropped down to seventh place with 23 points in 15 games. The Red’s take on West Brom next weekend in the league.

Jurgen Klopp’s side travel to Switzerland during the week knowing a point will guarantee a first place finish in their group.
