Emre Can admits he can never be like Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard

Liverpool’s Emre Can has played down recent reports in the media likening himself to the club legend Steven Gerrard.
Can also stated that he prefers playing in midfield and see’s himself playing in midfield in the future.
“The coach knows that I prefer the role in midfield and that I see myself there in the future. But as great as the comparisons to Steven Gerrard sound, I can never be like him,” Can told Sport Bild.

Liverpool have not lost a Premier League game in which Can has started in defence.The 21-year-old was signed from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer as a central midfielder. Rodgers has however, used Can primarily as a defender this season.
Can has one goal and one assist in 28 appearances in all competitions this season for Liverpool.
