Emre Can believes he has improved under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp but believes he still has room to develop.

Can told the Liverpool Echo that he wants to get better and the Klopp will help his transformation as a player.

“With Jurgen Klopp, I think I have made another step and I want to try to always give my best and I want to be better and I want to help the team,” Can said.

Can established himself as a first-team player in the Liverpool side last season under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers but was unhappy with the position he was deployed in.

The Germany international of Turkish origin played as a defender for most of the season alternating between centre-back and full-back.

Can was widely regarded as one of the Reds most promising signings last season but really stepped up his game following the appointment of Klopp mid-way through the first half of the season.

Klopp moved Can into central midfield and he has established himself as a key member of the current Liverpool setup.

Can is expected to be named in the match day squad against Chelsea at Anfield tonight.
