Emre Can displays improved passing game in Liverpool win over Kazan

Emre Can played 92 minutes during Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Rubin Kazan in the UEFA Europa League. The 21-year-old was replaced by Martin Skrtel shortly before full time.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man received a rating of 7.28 from WhoScored. Can’s passing was much improved this evening having maintained a 90% passing accuracy. The Germany international also made three successful tackles,one interception and three clearances during the game.

Can had a passing accuracy of 84% during the Red’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea and 85% in the draw with Southampton.

Liverpool drew their previous game against Kazan in the group 1-1 a fortnight ago.

Emre Can has started regularly for the German boss since he replaced Brendan Rodgers as head coach over the last international break. Liverpool are currently second in Group B with six points in four games. Leaders Sion drew with Bordeaux in the other game in the group tonight.

Liverpool take on take on Crystal Palace this weekend at Anfield and can move up to sixth place with a victory.
