Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is expected to start for Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup against Wimbledon FC.

Brendan Rodgers is expected to stick with a 3-4-3 setup with Can playing in defence.

Can has played the last three games as a defender in Rogers back three despite being a central midfielder.

The 20-year-old was first deployed as a defender in the second half during Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Burnley in the Premier League.

Can has made 12 appearances for the Reds following his switch from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The young midfielder will make his first FA Cup appearance if he plays against Wimbledon.

Can has completed 90 minutes just twice in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool Expected Starting XI:

Mignolet – Emre Can, Škrtel, Sakho – Manquillo, Henderson, Lucas, Marković – Gerrard, Coutinho – Lambert.
