Emre Can impresses despite Liverpool's disappointing draw with Sunderland

Emre Can one of the only bright notes during Liverpool’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old started in midfield once again in a three-man midfield alongside joe Allen and club captain Jordan Henderson. Can has been a key member of the Red’s side since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool were 2-0 up going into the final ten minutes but managed to blow their lead and come away with just one point.

Can played the full 90 minutes and received a rating of 7.56 from WhoScored. The Germany international made a total of five successful tackles and two interceptions.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man also made 117 passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 87%.

Can made the highest amount of tackles for Liverpool and was a threat going forward with his marauding runs.

Liverpool dropped down to ninth place following their draw with Sunderland. The Red’s take on West Ham United in the FA Cup next week.
