Emre Can looking forward to playing with new Liverpool transfer Firmino

Emre Can has heaped praise on Liverpool’s new transfer Roberto Firmino and said that he is looking forward to playing alongside the Brazil international.

Liverpool announced the £29 million transfer of the 23-year-old midfielder from Hoffenheim yesterday. Firmino will fly to Liverpool to undergo a medical following the Copa America.

The Brazil international has agreed a five-year contract with the Merseyside club keeping him at Liverpool until 2019.

“I am looking forward to playing with him,” Can told Kicker (via Liverpool Echo).

“He will help us greatly with his qualities.”

Firmino provided 12 assists and scored ten goals in 36 appearances for Hoffenheim in all competitions. The former Figueirense player is currently preparing for Saturday’s quarter-final with Paraguay in the 2015 Copa America.

Emre Can is currently in the Czech Republic preparing for Germany U21’s semi final clash with Portugal U21.

The Liverpool star star made a total of 27 appearances for the Premier League outfit this season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
