Emre Can makes the most tackles & interceptions on Liverpool return

Emre Can played a staring role in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Villarreal in the Europa League earlier tonight.

The 22-year-old was a surprise inclusion in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up. Can was deployed in a defensive midfield role and played a major part in his sides first goal.

Can received a rating of 8.3 for his performance from WhoScored. The Germany international made the most interceptions (4) and the most tackles (4) in the game. Can also maintained a passing accuracy of 86% and took one shot on target.

Liverpool have secured their place in the final where they will take on last season’s champions Sevilla. Can has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season.
