Emre Can to return for Liverpool this weekend

Liverpool team news Emre Can

Emre Can is set to make a Premier League return this weekend when Liverpool take on West Bromwich Albion at Anfield tomorrow.

The 21-year-old missed the Red’s previous league fixture against Newcastle United last weekend due to a suspension. Liverpool succumbed to a surprise 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Toons.

Can played the full 90 minutes during Liverpool’s midweek clash with Sion in the Europa League. Jurgen Klopp’s side topped their group following a draw with the Swiss Super League side.

The Red’s are currently in eight place with 23 points in 15 games. Klopp’s side can move up to fifth place this weekend depending on other results.

The Germany international is expected to be included in his sides starting line-up. Can has been a permanent fixture in Liverpool’s midfield since Klopp’s appointment.

Can has one assist and one goal in 22 appearances for Liverpool this season. The former Bayer Leverkusen man made 40 apperances for the Red’s last season.
