Can admitted he was honoured with the song Liverpool fans crafted him and that he wants to repay them by helping the team win silverware in the near future.
“I just want to repay the fans and hopefully we’ll celebrate titles together in the coming seasons,” Can told the official Liverpool website.
The 21-year-old also underlined that the Reds fans have done a great job helping him settle into the club and making him feel welcome.
“Liverpool have got really great fans and it feels great to feel so welcome after such a short space of time. It makes me proud and you can’t really describe this feeling,” he added.
Can joined the Reds as a central midfielder but has become a key member in Brendan Rodgers back-three this season.
The 21-year-old has one goal and one assist in 33 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this season.
Liverpool take on West Brom next in the Premier League, the Reds must make up seven points to catch fourth placed Manchester City.
