The 21-year-old was able to call on the support of his brother Memo – short for Mehmet – during the 1-1 draw with the Blues.

Can’s friend, who goes by the name Cnyt shared a picture with Reds star and his brother alongside the caption: “Sunny day in London Ready for the Game #london #sun #chelsea #liverpool #bro #emrecan #lfc #ynwa @memocan42”

There is a striking resemblance between Can and his brother who share the same hairstyle.

The show of brotherly love was not enough to spur Liverpool onto victory. The draw ended the Reds hopes of booking a place in next seasons Champions League.

Liverpool are likely to qualify directly for the Europa League next season.

Can was not the only player to have the support of a sibling in the stands. Diego Costa who missed the game with injury was spotted watching the game with his brother.
