Trabzonspor officially appointed Ersun Yanal as their manager [divider]
The experinced manager put pen to paper on a 1.5 year contract at a short press conference today at the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz training facility.
“We have constructed a squad capable of winning the league. We hope to deliver a much improved Trabzonspor,” Trabzonspor President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said.
Yanal will receive €1.4 million for the remainder of this season and €1.8 million for next season.
Trabzonspor released the following statement to the stock exchange today:
“Our football club have agreed a 1.5 year deal with Ersun Yanal.
Ersun Yanal will receive;
1.470.000.-EUR guaranteed payment for the 2014-15 season
1.800.000.-EUR guaranteed payment for the 2015-16 season”
Yanal has replaced Vahid Halilhodzic as Trabzonspor manager. The Black Sea based club fired the former Algerian national team coach following a slow start to the league and for comments he made about his squad to the media.
The experienced manager guided Fenerbahçe to the league title last season and has coached at Trabzonspor in the past.
Yanal’s first game in charge will be against rivals Galatasaray in Istanbul.
