Eskisehirspor boss disappointed with penalty decision [divider]
Eskişehirspor manager Ertuğrul Sağlam revealed that he was disappointed with the penalty decision given by referee Tolga Özkalfa in the 2-2 draw against Fenerbahçe.
“It was a great game so I want to thank both teams, I thought we deserved to win but this is football strange things can happen,” Sağlam said.
“We have now not lost against Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in Istanbul, unfortunately in all three games decisions have not gone our way.
“I am sure everyone knows what I am talking about.
“I cannot believe the penalty decision that was given against us, the referee clearly said no penalty after the situation but then changed his mind for some reason.
“It was disappointing, very disappointing, a game we should have won was turned on its head by this decision.
“But all I can do is praise the boys, we have have a young group of players and they are developing more and more each game.
“As I said before the game the team has great spirit and we will improve our standing in the league table over the next few weeks.”
Eskişehirspor remain in 14th place following the draw, meanwhile Fenerbahçe overtook Mersin to move into second position on 21 points.
