Europa League as important as Premier League says Liverpool star

Emre Can, Liverpool

Emre Can has stated that he sees the Premier League and Europa League as equally important.

The 22-year-old also state that he aims to win every league game with Liverpool until the end of the season.

“I think it’s both – of course to win the game on Thursday, and in the Premier League we want to win every game,” Can told Liverpool’s official website.

“Our target is to win the games and we will see what happens. You never know.”

“We want to win the game on Thursday, it’s our target,” Can added. “I think the result in Dortmund was a good result for us and we had good chances.”

Can sat out of Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Stoke City on Sunday.

The Germany international received a two game suspension during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham last weekend.

While Can didn’t receive a red card, he has instead been suspended for two games after accumulating ten yellow cards this season.

The Red’s will also be without Can for next weekend’s clash with Bournemouth.
