Europa League Preview: Galatasaray v Lazio – Lions hope to get season back on track

West Ham transfer news

Galatasaray take on Lazio at the Turk Telekom Arena hoping to get their nightmare season back on track.

The reigning Super Lig champions are already out of the title race so their only hope of silverware is the Turkish Cup and Europa League.

The Istanbul giants will be without star striker Burak Yilmaz who joined Beijing Guaon and replacement striker Sinan Gumus is out injured.

Despite having a poor season by their standards the Lions are unbeaten in their last 14 home games and have scored at least three goals in five of their last six games in Istanbul.

Lazio are not exactly having a memorable season either although they are unbeaten in their last six away games – three of which ended in draws.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals
