Xherdan Shaqiri looks set to complete his move to Stoke City after being spotted at the  Britannia Stadium during yesterday’s clash with Liverpool.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave Stoke this summer after falling out of favour with Inter boss Roberto Mancini according to the Metro.

The daily newspaper also states that Stoke previously had a £12 million bid for Shaqiri but the deal failed to materialise.

After the game Mark Hughes said that he is ‘hopeful’ Stoke will be able to conclude a deal to sign Shaqiri (SkySports).

Shaqiri who joined Inter for £11.2 million from Bayern Munich last season provided four assists and scored five goals in 35 appearances for the Serie A giants.

The former Basel player has scored 17 goals in 46 appearances for the Swiss national team aged just 23. Shaqiri has four years remaining on his contract with Inter Milan.
