Everton joined by Galatasaray in race for international defender

Galatasaray have joined the race to sign the in-demand Besiktas defender Ismail Koybasi.

The daily newspaper Aksam have stated the the Lion’s are preparing an offer for the Turkish international over the coming weeks.

Koybasi has taken a step closer to leaving the Istanbul giants after contract talks with Besiktas stalled. The Black Eagles are unwilling to match Koybasi’s contract demands according to Fotomac.

The Turkish international left-back has been in impressive for the Black Eagles establishing himself as a first-team regular for the Turkish Super League leaders.

Both Liverpool and Valencia are also keeping tabs on Beşiktaş full-back Ismail Koybaşı a source close to the player told Turkish-football.com.

Koybaşı is expected to travel with the Turkish national team to the European Championships in France over the summer and has 15 international caps.

The 26-year-old has three assists 33 appearances for Besiktas this season.
