Everton & Liverpool target could leave Turkey end of season

Fenerbahce full-back Caner Erkin could be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.

The report claims that the Yellow Canaries have not prioritised renewing Erkin’s contract and will not increase their offer if he turns down the deal brought to the table.

The Istanbul giants have 10 players that have just six-months remaining on their current contract.

On-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic, Abdoulaye Ba and Fabiano will all return to their parent clubs while Bruno Alves, Kadlec, Raul Meireles, Mehmet Topaz and Serdar Kesimal will not be offered new deals.

Mehmet Topal, Gökhan Gönül, Caner Erkin, Uygar Mert Zeybek and Hakan Cinemre will all be offered a new contract with the priority being extending Topal and Gönül’s deal.

The latest development could leave the door open to Liverpool and Everton who are both in talks with Erkin according to Mundo Deportivo.

Erkin’s agent Batur Altiparmak however, told Turkish-football.com“There have been enquiries from 5-6 teams but I have not mentioned names of any clubs and no agreements have been reached either.”

Inter Milan have also been closely linked with the in form Turkish international full-back.
