Ex Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants Wesley Sneijder to join him if he is appointed to Manchester United

The former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United if he is appointed the new manager at Old Trafford according to the Sun newspaper.

The daily newspaper states that Mourinho, who is being considered for the Red Devil’s job, is already making plans for if he is hired in Louis van Gaal’s place.

The Sun report that Mourinho believes that Sneijder could be the “game-breaker” United need.

Mourinho recently revealed that Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder was his ‘perfect’ number 10.

“Who is my perfect number 10? Wesley Sneijder and Deco. Because they could defend, get in the box and finish goals? Yes.” Mourinho was quoted as saying in the Telegraph.

The Netherlands international did of course play under the stewardship of Mourinho while at Inter Milan where the duo lifted the UEFA Champions League and Serie A under the Portuguese manager.

Sneijder has setup five assists and scored four goals in 22 games in all competitions for the Lions this season.
