Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie will not be joining Barcelona according to manager Vitor Pereira.

Van Persie has been linked with a move to the La Liga champions but Fenerbahçe manager Pereira denied receiving any offers for the Dutch star.

Pereira was quoted by Eurosport as saying: “I have no information about a transfer. I am pleased with him.”

Mundo Deportivo claimed that Van Persie will cost in the region of €3.5 million over the winter break.

The report stated that Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez was at Czech Republic v Netherlands Euro 2016 clash that saw the Dutch lose 3-2 and bow out of the tournament.

Van Persie scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win over Kayserispor that took the Yellow Canaries into 3rd place on goal difference with Galatasaray.

The experienced striker only joined Fenerbahçe over the summer and still has three-years left on his current deal. Van Persie already has five goals and one assist in all competitions this season.

Van Persie was reported to be unhappy with not starting regularly over recent weeks but was given the start on the weekend and is expected to play a key role against Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday and Galatasaray in the Intercontinental Derby the following Sunday.
