Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday at the Camp Nou with Turkish international midfielder Arda Turan providing a brilliant assist for Luis Suarez’s opening goal.
Turan assists Suarez with his chest – yes his chest – to put the home side early in the second half.

Turan got a mixed reception from Barcelona fans. The assist went down well but his display up until the goal divided opinion.
One fan reaction caught our attention. Turan was likened to Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
Arda Turan, also known as the Turkish Fellaini.

We assume it was not a compliment but based on Fellaini’s display in the Red Devils 3-1 win over Bournemouth in the opening Premier League game of the season being compared to the Belgium international may not necessarily be the worst thing.
Perhaps this is the reason…
Mathieu and Arda are the Jones and Fellaini of Barca in terms of most hated players

However, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho praised Fellaini after the game and underlined that he is an ‘important’ player for the club, signalling he could be set to stay over the transfer window.
“With Fellaini I always have the feeling that he was not loved by the general Red people,” Mourinho was quoted as saying on the official Manhcester United website.
“But, if he plays like he’s playing now, they have to love him because he’s being so important for us.”
Fellaini was good today

Being the Turkish Fellaini may have been an insult before the summer but both Turan and the Belgium international may just end up improving their image season if they keep this up.
