Germany beat Poland 3-1 at home to move into first place in Euro 2016 qualification Group D. Arsenal star Mesut Özil played the full 90 minutes in his favoured number 10 role behind the striker.
Mario Götze scored a brace and Muller scored Germanys’s other goal while Lewandowski scored Poland’s only goal of the game.
The 26-year-old received a rating of 7.0 from whoscored after making two key passes and maintaining a pass accuracy of 88%.
Özil is expected to feature in Germany’s clash with Scotland on Tuesday. Germany are top in Group D with 16 points in seven games. The 2014 World Cup winners have won their last four group games.
The World Cup winners return from injury will be a boost to Arsenal fans. The Gunners were the only club from the top five European leagues not to sign an outfield player during the summer transfer window.
Following the final whistle we took to Twitter to see how Özil’s latest performance went down on social media. Read a selection of what we found below:
Apparently Ozil was really impressive against Poland but then he would be with the calibre of player like Muller and Goetze to provide for.

Can't imagine that Arsene Wenger will be too pleased about Ozil playing for so long against Poland.
