Arsenal recorded a 0-0 draw with Liverpool last night in their third game of the Premier League Season.
The Gunners were coming off the back of an impressive 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend. Özil played the full 90 minutes in the Gunners home draw.
The club’s record signing received a rating of 7.31 from Whoscored after recording three key passes. Özil provided the most key (along with Alexis Sanchez) passes in yesterday’s game.
The former Real Madrid man also provided three accurate crosses and maintained a passing accuracy of 84.4%.
The Germany international came under fire from Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville who stated that Özil does not take responsibility for his teammates.
“[Özil and Alexis Sanches] Good players, fantastic players but I don’t think Özil has ever taken responsibility for his teammates,” Neville said on Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports.
