Fenerbahce boss refuses to comment on West Ham bound Emenike

Fenerbahçe striker Emmanuel Emenike is on the verge of joining West Ham according to Express.

Emenike is expected to join the Istanbul giants on loan until the end of the season with a buyout clause optıion.

Yellow Canaries boss Vitor Periera refused to comment on the transfer link following his sides goalless draw in the Turkish Cup against Antalyaspor yesterday.

“I only want to talk about the game,” Pereira told reporters when asked about Emenike.

Pereira had wanted to bring in an additional striker complaining that he lacks depth upfront. Fenerbahçe currently have two forwards in Robin van Persie and Fernandao but no cover if both were to get injured.

Emenike has returned from Al Ain on loan but were he to leave it would leave Pereira with the same problem he had over the first half of the season.

The Nigerian international fell out of favour with former Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal and the fans last season scoring just five league goals.

Emenike has however, rediscovered his goal scoring boots scoring seven goals in 11 games for Al Ain this season.
